DAEIFree compliance monitor

See where DAEI compliance cost is heading — and whether you're exposed.

A free monitor of Lithuania's renewable-transport-fuel (DAEI) obligation: the statutory penalty ceiling, the rising obligation to 2030, and a quick read on your own position.

The compliance cost corridor
Per MJ of shortfall, the cost of complying sits in a band — between buying a DAEI unit and paying the statutory penalty.
€0€0.04/MJ — statutory penalty (Art.32§1(1))

No rational supplier pays more than the penalty to comply — it is the ceiling. Buying DAEI units on the market is the cheaper floor. As the obligation rises and the market tightens, the floor climbs toward the ceiling and the corridor narrows.

The obligation is rising every year
The headline renewable-energy share you must reach climbs steeply toward 2030.

Your obligation — and therefore your exposure — rises every year. Acting early is cheaper than catching up.

Estimate your exposure
A rough read on the headline obligation only. For your exact position across every floor and cap, use the full calculator.

1 GWh = 3.6 million MJ — we scale it for you. Enter the energy of the fossil petrol and diesel you release.

Physical share ≠ credited share — Annex IX advanced and UCO fuels count double. The full calculator applies the multipliers exactly.

At these inputs you're likely compliant on the 7.8% headline.

This estimate covers the 7.8% headline only. The 0.7pp advanced+RFNBO sub-floor — and your crop and UCO caps — are assessed in the full calculator.

Buying DAEI units on the market instead usually costs less than the penalty — see the corridor above.

Decision-support estimate from the verified 2024 parameters — not an official compliance filing.

About this monitor

Does the monitor publish a DAEI unit cost?

No. We show the statutory penalty ceiling and cite Baltpool's published national volume statistics — we do not compute, assert, or publish a DAEI unit price. DAEI unit prices are agreed privately between suppliers (off-exchange); there is no public unit-price feed.

Is the monitor really free?

Yes. The monitor is a free lead magnet. The position calculator and the April report generator are the paid tools.

How are the numbers verified?

They come from public primary sources — the Law on Alternative Fuels, Baltpool's 2024 national statistics, and VERT enforcement decisions. The parameters were verified against those sources and signed off in 2026, so the figures reflect the 2024 statute; the on-page reads remain a decision-support view, not an official filing.
